GunSlaw VR does not yet have a set release date. A Steam release could occur as early as Q2 2026, but a later release date is more likely.
GunSlaw VR is being designed to allow users to host servers. An in-game server browser is included using a centralized developer run server list. The server application is both lightweight and easily modified with Python. The goal is to allow for server owners to easily create their own gamemodes.
Most of the core mechanics and gamemodes have been implemented to a degree (a bit rough around the edges still). In addition to generic content/polish (gamemodes, menus, settings, more blocks/weapons, etc.), major features on the roadmap include proximity chat, server plugin support, and skins.
A standalone Quest port of GunSlaw VR may be made if there's enough interest. It would likely be cross-platform with the PCVR version of GunSlaw VR. For the time being, any OpenXR compatible PCVR headset (including Quest via Virtual Desktop or Link) should be able to run GunSlaw VR.
GunSlaw VR is not yet released. Playtesters are greatly appreciated and you can join future playtests in the GunSlaw VR Discord.
GunSlaw is the combination of guns and coleslaw. The game is a mix of a bunch of things with guns included (also consider the fact that the sole developer is a potato).
